The Process of Making Caustic Soda
Produced through the electrolysis of sodium chloride (brine) solution in a chlor-alkali process. First, purified brine is introduced into an electrolytic cell where an electric current separates sodium chloride into chlorine gas, hydrogen gas, and sodium hydroxide solution. The resulting sodium hydroxide solution is then concentrated through evaporation to produce Caustic Soda suitable for industrial storage, transportation, and manufacturing applications.
